    We recognizes that the ability to influence policy and systems is a fundamental social determinant of health.

    MBF is evolving its internal and external structures to ensure community members aren’t just "consulted" but are actually leading the work.

    We want to ensure community partners have the resources they need beyond financial ones to grow community capacity, build power, and develop a shared movement-building analysis.

  • Kidney Health Awareness & Direct Support

    We hold the legacy of the Mount Baker Kidney Center close and work to address the root causes of chronic kidney disease through awareness, connection, and funding.  Mount Baker Foundation provides direct financial support to those living with chronic kidney disease in Whatcom County.

    We engage individuals interested in civic health and practices that move towards a more racially just community in Whatcom County while building the capacity of organizations committed to engaging in anti-racist practices, and those ready to build together as anti-racist organizations.
