GO! GRANTS
In 2026, we are offering two complementary Go! Grant opportunities that reflect our ongoing commitment to community rooted organizations and health equity. Both rounds prioritize smaller, grassroots organizations that are led by and serving communities most impacted by health inequities—including communities of color, rural areas, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant and refugee populations.
Together, these grants recognize that building collective power and organizational strength are equally vital to achieving our vision of individuals, families, neighborhoods and communities becoming stronger, healthier, more resilient and more compassionate, generation after generation
By investing in both community capacity (external capacity building) and organizational capacity (internal capacity building), we aim to fund a strong ecosystem of organizations who are centering community voice and building power within their communities.
OPTION 1: Open May 19- June 24, 2026
Go! Grants: Grassroots Power & Community Capacity Building
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: we believe that those closest to the challenges are closest to the solutions. Building and strengthening collective community power is essential to dismantling systemic barriers, advancing equity, and creating a healthy community.
Our 2026 Grassroots Power & Community Capacity Building grants prioritize smaller, community-rooted organizations working closest to the ground where relationships, trust, and creativity drive meaningful change. These grants support efforts that cultivate leadership within the community, strengthen community networks, and build shared capacity to organize and act collectively.
Examples:
Leadership Development
Cultivating local leaders who are not necessarily associated with an organization who can inspire, organize, and represent their communities.
Community Building
Strengthening relationships and solidarity to drive collective action.
Coordinated Collective Action
Mobilizing communities toward shared goals for systems change.
Community Capacity Building
Expanding skills, tools, and resources that enable communities and individuals outside the traditional organizational structure to sustain transformation.
OPTION 2: Opens October 2026
Go! Grants: Organizational Capacity Building
Strong organizations help build strong communities, especially those organizations with representative leadership. To sustain long-term change, grassroots organizations need the infrastructure, tools, and knowledge to strengthen their operations and grow their impact.
Our Organizational Capacity Building grants are designed to help smaller, community-rooted organizations invest in their own internal capacity. These funds may support technical assistance, staff training, financial systems, or other forms of infrastructure that improve organizational stability and effectiveness.
EXAMPLES
Technical Assistance
Support to strengthen internal systems or operational practices.
Financial Management Training
Building skills in budgeting, reporting, and fiscal sustainability.
Fundraising and Development Consulting
Enhancing fundraising strategy, donor engagement, or grantwriting capacity.
